We are seeking expressions of interest from members who have completed their PhD within the past 7 years (career interruptions will be taken into account) and who wish to participate in our GSA Early Career Mentoring Program.
This program aims to match participants with mentors in a bespoke manner, creating new connections between ECRs and more established genetics researchers in AustralAsia. We will offer the opportunity for participants to network with each other and we will facilitate panel discussions about strategies for building careers in genetics.
We expect that mentors and mentees will meet for up to 12 months with a minimum time commitment from mentors approximately one hour per month on average, scheduled at the mutual convenience of mentees/mentors. We will hold one-hour panel discussions bi-monthly for mentees on topics of interest.
